Then EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) could be the answer you’re looking for. And it’s right at your fingertips.

EFT is short for ‘Emotional Freedom Technique’

EFT is a healing technique based on Chinese acupuncture. But instead of using needles, meridian points are gently tapped with your fingertips, while focusing on your health issue. This clears energetic blockages and allows the problem to heal.

Go With The Flow

Go With The Flow

Are You In The Flow Of Your Life?

How do you feel when you look at this picture?

Do you feel relaxed and peaceful?  I know I do.

I think this is what it feels like to be in the flow.

Do you ever have times where everything just works without you even having to try, where things just happen with grace and ease, where everything feels effortless?

I’ve heard it said many times that our outer world is a reflection of our inner world.

If we are peaceful and congruent on the inside then our external life will mirror this.

If we are in the flow we do not resist what happens naturally.

When you are in this state you aren’t pushing the current to go faster or swimming against it.

Going with the flow involves a certain amount of trust – that everything will fall into place – just as it should, at the right time.  Let go and enjoy the ride.

You can move into flow with gratitude and appreciation.

Allowing others to support and help you can also get you in the flow.

I believe that when we are moving with the currents of life it feels easy – it is when we fight it that it starts to get tricky.

Going Against the Flow

Do you ever feel like you’re paddling upstream against the current?

I’m sure we’ve all had times when nothing seems to go right, where it’s an uphill battle, where one thing after another goes wrong.

Have you heard this example? You get up in the morning and stub your toe on the way to the bathroom and the day just continues to deteriorate from there. This is what it feels like to be going against the flow.

Wouldn’t it be nice to always be in the flow of life instead of battling through it?

There may be things that you need to let go of in order to go with the flow.

The Flow of Energy in the Body

EFT is based on Chinese acupuncture which is over 5000 years old.  Its philosophy is that there is a flow of energy in the body – the Chinese call it chi, the Indians call it prana.  When the energy in the body is flowing we feel good, energetic and happy – at peace.  When it’s not we feel sluggish, uninspired, depressed and this can lead to physical and emotional problems.

Our body is an electrical system. Everything we do is controlled and enabled by electrical signals running through our bodies. When this energy is not working properly the other systems in our bodies start to break down.

When there are blocks in our energy, from physical or emotional issues, our energy is not flowing freely and we are not operating at full strength.

How EFT Can Restore the Flow of Energy

EFT is a great way to restore the flow of energy in the body.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, says in the EFT Discovery Statement:

“The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.”

He came from an engineering background and described the acupuncture meridians as energy circuits conducting currents of energy.  He added that if these circuits are disrupted, we experience a zzzt – technical term 🙂 , the flow of energy is blocked and we can feel emotional and/or physical discomfort.

By tapping with the tips of the fingers on the acupuncture points on the face and body, the disruption is cleared and the energy travelling through these channels is balanced and flows freely throughout the body.

By tapping to release negative emotions, we clear energy blocks and restore the flow of energy before they have time to affect the corresponding physical areas of our bodies and express disease.

How it Feels When the Energy Starts to Flow

As I have worked with different people I see that there are a variety of signs that the energy is moving; when I tap on myself and the energy starts to move I start to yawn and my eyes water.  Yawning seems to be quite common with my clients; other signs are burping, itching, crying, sighing or tiredness.  Clients will often say they feel more peaceful and look a lot calmer after just a few rounds.

You can actually feel the energy start to move again throughout your body.  It feels like a buzz or a charge in your body as the energy starts to move.

Sometimes when my energy is low in the afternoon I just tap on the top of my head and very soon I start to feel the energy flowing through my body again and I am revitalized.

Tapping is such a wonderful tool to clear the blocks and to get the energy moving again.

Is it Really That Easy?

EFT can produce remarkable results in just a few sessions.  It is a different type of healing from what we are used to in the West.  We are conditioned to believe that it has to be hard, or take a long time, or to be very painful.

You may ask yourself – can it be that easy?  Can I just heal myself by saying a few words and tapping on these meridian points? The answer is YES!!

Compared to traditional talk therapy it is very efficient. You don’t need to relive a trauma and you don’t have to spend hours of your life going into the details of what happened.  The object is to clear the energy blocks from your energy system as quickly and painlessly as possible.
